Overtime

Recreational marijuana became legal in California on January 1st and an unusual suspect is getting in on the action. Former boxer Mike Tyson broke ground on a cannabis resort in 110 miles outside of Los Angeles. No word yet on if this oasis will be all you can eat.

Sideline stat

The Buffalo Bills (NFL – National Football League) needed the Cincinnati Bengals to win last weekend so they could secure their first playoff spot in 17 years. The Bengals pulled it off and in appreciation of that win, the Bills are sending buffalo wings to Cincinnati. As if hot sauce and blue cheese wasn’t enough, Bengals fans have also contributed over $170,000 to Bengals’ quarterback Andy Dalton’s favorite charity for his role in helping their team achieve their playoff dream.

You asked and we listened. What is a touchback in football? A touchback is when the kickoff goes out of the end zone (i.e where touchdowns happen) or the returning team downs the ball in the end zone area. The ball is then brought back out to the 25-yard line. With the college football national championship game on Monday and the NFL playoffs starting this weekend, you’ll be able to show them who’s the boss during the game. VIDEO
