Tensions were high in Toronto at the start of the second round of the NBA (National Basketball Association) playoffs. Toronto Raptors super fan, rapper Drake, practiced some "Bad Behavior" when he got into a shouting match with Cleveland Cavaliers’ Kendrick Perkins. The Cavs had the last laugh as they upset the Raptors in overtime.  READ ON

Eight women’s sports leagues are banding together to create a new initiative – SheIS. The leagues include the WNBA (Women’s National Basketball Association), National Pro Fastpitch Softball, U.S. Tennis Association and Canadian Women’s Hockey are working together to combine resources and boost viewership and attendance numbers. Each commissioner has also pledged to go to the other’s events. WNBA president Lisa Borders said, "Women have to support women before you ask other people to support you.” MORE


Coaches’ corner

The Derby is the first race in the quest for the triple crown. Becoming a triple crown winner means that the horse won at the Kentucky Derby, Belmont Stakes and Preakness Stakes. Why is the triple crown so hard to accomplish?  There are short turnarounds between the races and the already tired horse will have to race against a group of fresh horses (not every horse runs all three races).
