Overtime

The Milwaukee Brewers’ (MLB – Major League Baseball) Christian Yelich will be appearing in the ESPN Body Issue and one fan named Roxanne was pissed about it, chiding him on Twitter for posing in the buff. (The important bits are strategically covered up in the photos). Yelich responded to her by saying “Relax Roxanne” and then changed his walk-up music in last night’s game to “Roxanne” by The Police. TAKE THAT TROLL

Sideline stat

Kansas City Royals (MLB) owner David Glass, who made his money as an executive with Wal-Mart, is ready to cash in on his investment. He bought the team in 2000 for $96 million, won a World Series and he is now reportedly in negotiations to sell it for $1 billion. The Royals are the 28th on the list of most valuable baseball teams, according to Forbes. ROYAL RETURN (ON INVESTMENT)

Coaches’ corner

UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) fighter Paige VanZant (you may also remember her from “Dancing with the Stars”) revealed that she makes more from her sponsored Instagram posts to her 2.2 million followers than fighting. In an interview, she also highlighted the pay gap for female fighters. UPPER CUT TO THE BANK ACCOUNT
