Five Things To Know About The 2018-19 NBA (National basketball association) Season

1. The league is continuing its crackdown on players as advertising billboards. The league “prohibits players from displaying any commercial logos or corporate insignia on their body or in their hair." Players are required to remove/cover up any logos or they face a fine. A player was even forced to remove an Adidas logo shaved into his hair because of said rule. SMH = SHAVING MY HEAD

2. The Dallas Mavericks and their owner Mark Cuban have been in the hot seat all off-season over their handling (or not handling) of sexual misconduct in their organization. But don’t let that discount the hiring of the organization’s first female coach, Jenny Boucek. But that’s not the only first. Assistant coach Boucek is expecting her first child and the organization has been supportive of the single mom-to-be’s decision to not travel the first six months of her baby’s life. STRONG AS A MOTHER

3. While the Washington Wizards and New York Knicks are scheduled to play in London, the Portland Trailblazers have to travel the most miles this season. To ease the pain of the grind, every team’s game schedule has been spaced out this season to reduce back-to-back games. JETLAG IS LEGIT

4. Out of all of the high rollers in sports, Los Angeles Clippers owner Steve Ballmer is the richest owner in all of sports. A WHOLE NEW MEANING TO NET WORTH

5. Steph Curry and his Golden State Warriors are the defending champs and their championship rings feature a few hidden gems. This season they’re looking to win their fourth title in five years. CAN’T TOUCH THIS
