This week we lost longtime NBA (National Basketball Association) commissioner David Stern at the age of 77. While many people sang his praise the full impact of his time with the league is now being put on paper. He is responsible for taking an underdog league to the international powerhouse it is today.
For perspective, when he started the finals were shown on tape delay after the late local news. Imagine telling LeBron that he’s going to have to wait until after the third round of weather on the nightly news?
