Weekend Preview: Boys Of Summer In Omaha, Vegas The Center Of The Sports Universe + Playboy Mansion Meets Golf

Here's what you need to know heading into Father's Day weekend.

Men’s College World Series

The boys of summer are back at the Men’s College World Series, with eight teams heading to the College World Series starting on Friday. We have TCU, Oral Roberts University or ORU, Florida, Virginia, Wake Forest, Stanford, Louisiana State or LSU, and Tennessee. The No. 1 ranked Wake Forest is known as “Rake Forest” for their ability to hit home runs. They haven't attended the College World Series since winning it in 1955. This double-elimination tournament will bring $100M in economic impact to Omaha. The LSU fans are doing their best to help that number. They are known for drinking stadiums out of beer before the games have even started.

Sports Take Over Las Vegas

Let's head to the city that never sleeps, Las Vegas. The Vegas Golden Knights (NHL – National Hockey League) will celebrate their Stanley Cup win with a parade down the strip on Saturday night. If you're headed to Vegas, heads up, it will be a party on Saturday night.

The Oakland A's, well, they are one step closer to making their move to Las Vegas. The Nevada Senate approved a $380M public funding bill. It will head to Nevada Governor Joe Lombardo and then to the 29 owners of Major League Baseball teams to be approved for that Oakland A's move.

US Open (Golf)

The US Open is happening right now. The golf tournament is taking place at the Los Angeles Country Club, one of the most exclusive country clubs in the nation. And record scores are happening. Rickie Fowler set the record for the lowest score ever on the course. Then Xander Schauffele set the record shortly after. Remember, in golf, a low score is good; a high score is terrible.
