He’s the champion. The top four drivers faced off yesterday’s race for the championship and Joey Logano came out on top. The 28-year-old won his first championship. CUE THE FIREWORKS

 

Overtime

It may have been a cold and snowy game when University of Utah played the University of Colorado in Boulder this weekend but the referee was steaming. He stopped the game to ask the fans to stop throwing snowballs onto the field as it was creating a dangerous situation. PARTY POOPER

Sideline stat

The AP (Associated Press) poll comes out every week, ranking the top 25 teams in college football. For the first time in 22 years, the football team from Army marched their way into the top 25. ARMY STRONG

 

Coaches’ corner

Reports emerged that the Cleveland Browns (NFL – National Football League) are considering calling in former Secretary of State and lifelong Browns fan Condoleezza Rice for their open head coach position. Rice was one of the inaugural members of the College Football Playoff selection committee and is one of two female members at Augusta golf course but has no coaching experience. While she was flattered, she declined with a great response.  (Reminder - the Browns were the team that won their first game in two seasons this year to unlock the infamous Bud Light beer fridges throughout the city).
