The ESPYs are the biggest night in sports. The awards show celebrates the biggest accomplishments, comebacks and impactful moments from the previous year in sports. Since the sports world looks different this year, the show will also have a different twist by celebrating heroism and humanitarian aid versus the previous year’s triumphs.

The June 21 show will be hosted by athletes who happen to call Seattle home. Russell Wilson (NFL - Seattle Seahawks), Megan Rapinoe (Team USA Soccer/Reign FC) and her partner Sue Bird (Seattle Storm - WNBA) will all be first time hosts. One of the changes ESPN is working on is telling the winners they won at the same time as the audience, unlike the usual routine where the winner’s acceptance speeches are already on the teleprompter by they time get to the stage.
