The Last Night’s Game Team

MLB (Major League Baseball)

If you’ve been waiting for exciting baseball, now is the time. The regular season came to a close on Sunday, which means it’s time for wild card baseball. Two teams from each of the two leagues that were on the verge of making the playoffs, will play each other in a winner takes all game for a spot in the postseason. The teams will leave it all on the diamond when they face off Tuesday (Milwaukee Brewers at Washington Nationals) and Wednesday (Tampa Bay Rays at Oakland A's) night. HOLD ON TO YOUR HELMETS

Overtime

Hopefully actress Gabrielle Union has a high limit on her credit card because she’s about to go broke from tacos. The actress was the guest picker on ESPN “College GameDay” on Saturday and while her jersey was a winner, her team wasn’t. Her team, Nebraska, played LeBron James’ team, Ohio State, and Taco Tuesday was the bet. Ohio State pummeled Nebraska. LET’S TACO BOUT IT

Runner Allyson Felix proved to the world that she’s one tough mother. In yesterday’s World Championships, she won her first gold medal since her daughter was born via an emergency C-section in November. That World Championship win was the 12th of her career and with it, she surpassed Usain Bolt for the most gold medals in world championships history. OLYMPICS OR BUST

Coaches’ corner

Tempers flared on the track as the first round of the NASCAR (National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing) playoffs came to an end yesterday. Alex Bowman was on the verge of elimination, but miraculously came back from a rough start to move on to the next round. But Bubba Wallace was not happy with Bowman, who crashed into him during beginning of the race. Wallace proceeded to flip Bowman off numerous times during the race and Bowman grew tired of it. So, he crashed into him again and took Wallace out of the race. (Wallace is not in contention for the title). LOOK AT THE BIRDIE

What to watch

After a not so pretty win, Kansas City Chiefs’ (NFL – National Football League) head coach Andy Reid tried to give his team an inspirational postgame speech. He told them that “not all of Mozart’s paintings were perfect.” PROBABLY TRUE
