F1 (Formula One)
It's a big weekend in Austin, and no, we're not talking about University of Texas football. The global phenomenon of F1 will run its only race in the US on Sunday. The weekend-long festivities are a little rock and roll – with multiple concerts (21 Pilots and Billy Joel) spliced in between racing. Ramping up to the US race, F1 announced a partnership with the NBA (National Basketball Association) to start the basketball league's 75th Anniversary season. F1 released images of the first ten cars in a series that will feature custom car liveries of all 30 NBA teams. SLAM DUNK
Overtime
The Tennessee Titans (NFL - National Football League) are tackling pet homelessness this weekend. Star players Derrick Henry and Ryan Tannehill dressed for the occasion wearing t-shirts featuring a giant face of a pet that is available for adoption to a post-practice press conference. The BETTER CITIES FOR BETTER PETS campaign will help find homes for Nashville and Kansas City area pets. The Kansas City Chiefs are the Titans' opponent this weekend. PICK ME

You might remember when Green Bay Packers (NFL) Aaron Jones lost his pendant containing his father's ashes during an epic four-touchdown game earlier this season. Jones thought his pendant was lost for good, but Packers head athletic trainer Bryan Engel found it on the field after the game around 1:45 am. This week, Jones gifted Engel five "Bird" scooters for his family as a token of appreciation. Since the incident, the Packers have sewn a special pocket for the pendant in Jones' jersey to ensure it stays safe on game day. KEEP IT CLOSE TO THE CHEST
