Waking up on a Monday morning isn’t what one might call a joyous occasion. But being able to connect with someone important in your life over the common topic of sports is.

The Last Night’s Game Team

Boston Marathon

Former race car driver Danica Patrick is checking off "the one thing on her bucket list" today. She's running the Boston Marathon along with 20,000 of her closest fit friends this morning. Did you know that a unicorn is the symbol of the marathon? UNLIKE ANY OTHER

Overtime

Sometimes a post-work happy hour goes a little too far, and that was the case for Max Scherzer. The Los Angeles Dodgers (MLB – Major League Baseball) pitcher celebrated their playoff win with locker room champagne. Then he arrived at his postgame interview shirtless and tipsy. Hopefully, he has recovered as he's scheduled to pitch tonight in game three. BEEN THERE

Sideline stat

Coaches’ corner

The Detroit Lions (NFL - National Football League) have had some heartbreaking late-game losses this season, and their coach is taking it personally. Head coach Dan Campbell, who some might consider the ultimate football guy, broke into tears in his postgame press conference yesterday following his loss to the Minnesota Vikings. GROWN MEN CRY
