MARCH MADNESS

We're one day into March Madness, and you're likely nursing a busted bracket. In the first round, the No. 2 ranked Kentucky Wildcats lost to No. 15 Saint Peter's. (If you're curious, Saint Peter's University is located in Jersey City, NJ).

In addition to the second day of men's games, the women take the court today in their first round. Something to keep in mind when watching today's games, the women play four 10-minute quarters, and the men play two twenty-minute halves. THE IDES OF MARCH

Short and Sweet

  • This cheerleader has the best performance of the March Madness tournament thus far.

  • The PGA (Professional Golfers Association) is not happy about a new well funded, Saudi-backed golf league and threatens to ban PGA golfers who participate.

  • Penn swimmer Lia Thomas becomes the first known transgender athlete to win Division I national championship.

  • TODAY, the NWSL (National Women's Soccer League) starts its preseason tournament, the Challenge Cup. Angel City FC, one of the newest teams in the league, hopes to make owners like Eva Longoria and Serena Williams proud by bringing home a title.

Before We Go

The F1 (Formula One) season starts on Sunday in Bahrain. While the cars will enter a brand new era of regulations, everyone is talking about driver Lewis Hamilton changing his name to honor his mother. Looking ahead at this season's calendar, the race in Russia is no longer and the cars will race in Miami for the first time ever. START YOUR ENGINES
