Drop It Like It's Hot

What does success look like this weekend? Maybe it's a nap or a new date spot, or perhaps it's talking confidently about the Super Bowl.

All of the above,
The Last Night's Game Team

NFL (National Football League)

The Cincinnati Bengals take on the Los Angeles Rams this Sunday in Super Bowl 56. The Rams are slight favorites to win in their home stadium. A few other fun facts:

  • It's only the second time in Super Bowl history that the game is a home game for one of the teams (Rams).

  • The cost of a 30-second Super Bowl commercial increased $1M this year to $6.5M.

  • The average person will consume 11,000 calories - more than four and a half times the recommended daily calorie intake.

  • Of the last 17 champions, 14 of those teams were wearing white jerseys. The Bengals elected to wear their black jerseys.

Short and Sweet

  • The Phoenix Open is the closest a golfer will get to living out a scene from "Happy Gilmore." The PGA (Professional Golfers Association) tournament, which runs through Sunday, is known for rowdy fans and the 16th hole - a par three surrounded by a stadium seating 17,000 people.

  • After finishing in fourth place, Olympian Shaun White gives an emotional goodbye.

  • Super Bowl anthem singer Mickey Guyton is known as "Quicky Mickey" for rushing through the anthem. How will that bode for bettors on Sunday at the big game?

Before We Go

Sundays are ruff, and this one will be no different. The 18th annual Puppy Bowl will air before the Super Bowl, and head coaches Martha Stewart (Team Ruff) and Snoop Dogg (Team Fluff) are back. A record 118 adoptable dogs from 67 shelters across the country are playing in this year's game. But will the kitty halftime performance rival Snoop's actual halftime performance alongside Eminem, Mary J. Blige, Kendrick Lamar and D. Dre? 'TILL I COLLAPSE
