The World Is Your Oyster

Football is here whether you like it or not. Yesterday was the first day of 27 consecutive football days, carrying us until November 22. What could you do in those 27 days? Learn the guitar? Break a bad habit? Tell us on Twitter.

Buckle up,
The Last Night's Game

It’s World Series Time

What do you get when you combine Miles Teller, the invention of the high five and cheating scandals? The World Series. The Philadelphia Phillies and the Houston Astros will begin their quest for the World Series trophy tonight. It's the first time in 13 years that the Phillies have played in the best-of-seven-game series but the Astros have been here four of the last six years.

For more on the World Series, here are our 5 Things You Need To Know.

Short and Sweet

  • The Los Angeles Lakers (NBA - National Basketball Association) haven't won a game this season. It's the worst start for LeBron James since his rookie season.

  • ESPN "College Gameday" is heading to Jackson to highlight former NFL (National Football League) player turned head coach Deion "Primetime" Sanders, aka Coach Prime, and his undefeated Jackson State football team. This is the second time in the show's history that they will be doing their pregame show at an HBCU (Historically Black Colleges and Universities).

  • Tom Brady came out of retirement for this? Last night he lost his third game in a row for the first time in 20 years. In the loss to the Ravens, he also became the most-sacked quarterback in NFL (National Football League) history.

Before We Go

Women's soccer is headed to prime time. The Portland Thorns will play the Kansas City Current for the 2022 NWSL (National Women's Soccer League) Championship. Keep an eye out for Brittany and Patrick Mahomes in the stands. The Kansas City Chiefs (NFL) are off this weekend and surely we'll see Patrick in the stands supporting his wife, who is a team owner.

Alaska Air is giving VIP treatment to all Thorns fans, offering early boarding for any guest out of Portland wearing a Thorns jersey. The Thorns owner won't be in attendance at the game as he's being pressured to sell the team after an investigation uncovered a toxic environment in the league.

The game will air on CBS (the first time ever for the NWSL on prime time TV) and stream on Paramount+ on Saturday at 8 pm E.T.
