Can't Stop The Feeling

Mondays, am I right?

Make it a great week ahead,
The Last Night's Game Team

NFL (national football association)

Both of the number one seeds in the playoffs, the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles, showed why they're at the top this weekend, dominating their opponents. Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes put on a gritty performance, powering through an in-game ankle injury for a win over the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The Eagles will play the San Francisco 49ers, and the Chiefs will take on Joe Burrow's Cincinnati Bengals (and his "Seinfeld" sweatpants) next Sunday. The winners will then meet in the Super Bowl. WE'RE HERE FOR IT

Short and Sweet

  • Is it a curse? Every player featured on the new Netflix show about the professional tennis season, "Breakpoint," has had to withdraw or has lost in The Australian Open.

  • Did the Las Vegas Aces (WNBA - Women's National Basketball Association) trade the cornerstone of their franchise, Dearica Hamby, because of her pregnancy? The WNBA is investigating.

  • Even after a tough loss, Jags quarterback Trevor Lawrence stood outside the tunnel congratulating every one of his teammates on a great season.

  • Fourty-foot waves couldn't stop the field of 40 of the world's top big-wave surfers at the 'Super Bowl of Surfing.' For the first time, six women competed alongside the men.

Before We Go

The NFL (National Football League) playoffs did not disappoint this weekend. A few highlights include Less than three weeks ago, Damar Hamlin went into cardiac arrest and had his heartbeat restored on the field. Yesterday he cheered on his Buffalo Bills (NFL) at the game, something we weren't sure would ever be possible. His Bills lost to the Bengals, but seeing his signature hand heart move was a welcome sight for all football fans to see Hamlin. FOR THE WIN
