The Last Night’s Game Team

College Basketball

The theme of the Men's Final Four is "firsts." San Diego State, Florida Atlantic (FAU) and Miami are all heading to the Final Four in Houston for the first time. FAU had never won a tournament game before this year, and San Diego has never appeared in the final four in school history. UCONN is the only team making it to the Final Four previously, but it has been nine years since they've been there. YOU'LL NEVER FORGET YOUR FIRST

It's the last day of the Women's Elite Eight, but Iowa and LSU are in. The sideline fashion from LSU's coach Kim Mulkey is catching everyone's attention. Sporting a pink feather blazer this weekend, the Hall of Fame coach and three-time national champion said, "Look, we're from Louisiana. We like sparkles, we like diamonds, we like Mardi Gras, we like to eat, and we like to party." SO THERE'S THAT

Short and Sweet

  • Baseball players are known for their pranks. Ahead of Thursday’s Opening Day, New York Yankees (MLB – Major League Baseball) manager Aaron Boone pulled a good one over on their top prospect Anthony Volpe.

  • Former Morgan Stanley adviser Darryl Cohen has been arrested after allegedly transferring roughly $13M from his NBA (National Basketball Association) clients into his personal accounts.

  • Golden State Warriors (NBA) Steph Curry and his wife Ayesha will join President Biden’s Fitness and Nutrition Council. Ayesha is a chef/restaurateur/cookbook author.

Before We Go

The NWSL (National Women’s Soccer League) season kicked off over the weekend, and the fans showed up for the San Diego Wave FC’s second-ever season home opener. They set a record for a home opener, with over 30,000 in attendance to watch Alex Morgan and her teammates secure the first win of the season. ATTA GIRLS
