1. Remember when toilet papering a house was something you did to your worse enemy? Not at Auburn University. After a win, fans toilet paper the oaks on Toomer's Corner on campus. This tradition, that started in 1972, was stopped for three years after an Alabama fan poisoned the trees, but now it’s back. Do you think desperate college students clean it up afterward to stock their bathrooms? TWO-PLY PARTY
2. A tradition at Murray State since the late 70s, a horse nicknamed Racer One runs a lap around the field at home games after a touchdown. This tradition also comes to you from the school where after couples DTR, they hang their shoes on the Shoe Tree for luck. SOLE MATES
3. After their rival Georgia Tech discontinued their annual game, Clemson Tigers fans hit back with their wallets. They spent $2 bills stamped with the team’s signature orange tiger paw logo all over Atlanta. This 40-year tradition still remains, with Clemson fans paying with said $2 bills when traveling to away games. WAIT, SOMEONE CARRIES CASH?
4. Florida State University began a “sod cemetery” back in 1962. The team would bring back grass from their opponent’s field after a win. But now there are new rules in place. The Seminoles must be underdogs or the victory must be in a championship or bowl game to warrant a sod funeral. REST IN PEACE
5. A tradition nearly 100 years in the making is arriving via boat for a Washington Huskies football game. Then fans relive their spring break by boatgating. They party on boats and like any other tailgate there are ping pong tables, grills, TVs and of course plenty to drink. BUT WILL THERE BE SKINNY DIPPING?

The New York Yankees pitcher Mariano Rivera was the first player to receive an unanimous decision to be enshrined, but on his big weekend his awkward Toyota commercial is getting all the buzz. The wife of the late Roy Halladay, who died in a plane crash 2017 at age 40, delivered an emotional induction speech on behalf of the two-time Cy Young winner.
Elsewhere in baseball, Luke Voit of the New York Yankees took a 91-mph fastball to the face but stayed in the game. Later, he scored a run in his team’s rout of the Colorado Rockies. TAKING ONE FOR THE TEAM

Kevin Harvick won the NASCAR (National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing) race in New Hampshire and lucky him, as the winner he received a 22-lb. lobster. His young son promised to kiss the crustacean and was a man of his word. THAT’S A FIRST KISS HE WON’T FORGET

Age ain’t nothing but a number to boxing legend Manny Pacquiao. On Saturday night, he beat Keith Thurman, who is 10 years his junior in a 12-round fight. A senator in his home country of the Philippines, Pacquiao not only took home a $10 million paycheck for his win but became the fifth oldest champion ever, regardless of weight class. FOR THAT PRICE, MAYBE SOME AMERICAN SENATORS WILL HOP INTO THE RING?

What to watch
The NFL (National Football League) season is around the corner with training camp starting this week. It’s essentially the spring training of football. Keep an eye on #1 draft pick, quarterback Kyler Murray in Arizona and wide receiver Antonio Brown at the Oakland Raiders camp. Brown is known for his outlandish arrivals at training camp. Last year it was a helicopter and previous years featured custom painted Rolls Royces.

While “Saturday Night Live” took shots at the newest member of the Philadelphia Phillies because of his massive contract, Bryce Harper showed off his sensitive side. Harper has worn the number 34 since breaking into the big leagues, but will wear No. 3 for his 13-year contract with the team. Why? The last person to wear the No. 34 for the Phillies was former pitcher Roy Halladay, who died in a plane crash. Harper felt Halladay should be the last player to wear that jersey number for the team. Who says dancing isn’t a contact sport? After a big win, UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) fighter Johnny Walker broke out his celebration dance in the octagon. He showed off his skills by doing the worm and as a result he dislocated his shoulder. SHOW OFF

ESPN’s Rich Eisen did it again, running the 40-yard dash at the NFL (National Football League) Combine to raise money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. For the second year in a row, Eisen, who has raised over $1 million for the children's hospital, received a surprise donation from New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick.
