THE 5 BEST ATHLETE DADS AND THEIR EQUALLY ATHLETIC KIDS

We bet family game night was a little competitive.

Father's Day Generic-01 (1).png

It runs in the family.

Genetics are a crazy thing,

The Last Night’s Game Team

1. Laila Ali had big shoes to fill when she followed in her dad’s footsteps. Her father was the one and only, the “World’s Greatest,” boxer Muhammed Ali. A boxing champion herself, she's also a television personality and fitness guru who has appeared on shows such as American Gladiator and Dancing With The Stars. LIGHT ON THEIR FEET

2. NASCAR’s (National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing) dynamic duo was Dale Earnhardt Sr. and Earnhardt Jr. Papa Earnhardt died from injuries sustained in a crash at the Daytona 500 at the age of 49. Earnhardt Jr. won that same race three years later in 2004. Earnhardt Jr.'s grandfather was also a NASCAR driver and his nephew races in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. ONE FAST FAMILY

3. Basketball greatness runs in the family for the NBA (National Basketball Association) Champion and two-time league MVP, Stephen Curry. His father Dell, is the all-time leader in points and three pointers for the Charlotte Hornets. Steph’s youngest brother Seth plays basketball for the Portland Trail Blazers. They’re the first brothers to face off in the NBA conference finals. ONE OF THEM HAS TO BE YOUR FAVORITE KID

4. Her dad, two-time Hall of Famer Rick Flair, is considered one of the greatest professional wrestlers of all time, and wrestler Charlotte Flair is living up to his legacy. The college volleyball player turned WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment) star has been a trailblazer for women in WWE, with nine championships to her name. “The Queen” was also the first WWE star to grace the pages of ESPN The Magazine’s Body Issue. ROYAL FAMILY

5. You can’t have a list of famous fathers and their kids without mentioning the ultimate trio – the Manning crew. Dad, Archie Manning was a NFL (National Football League) quarterback for 15 years. His quarterback sons Peyton and Eli have both won two Super Bowls. Their third brother Cooper, is ‘only’ a partner in a law firm and a TV personality. Cooper’s son, Arch, is keeping the family name alive as an impressive high school football prospect. A CHIP OFF THE OLD BLOCK

5 Epic Adventures Of The Stanley Cup

In your next life you'll want to come back as the famed trophy.

Stanley Cup Winner-02 (1).png

The Stanley Cup – a 34.5-pound trophy that gets around.

Instagram worthy adventures,

The Last Night’s Game Team

The Stanley Cup is likely the most recognized trophy in North America and it’s the trophy the NHL (National Hockey League) Champions receive. As we speak, the Boston Bruins and St. Louis Blues are vying for the Stanley Cup in the NHL Finals. Each player on the winning team gets to spend a day with the trophy doing whatever they want. The trophy also has its own Twitter account so you can follow its wild, sometimes spring break-like adventures.

1. Last year’s Finals MVP, Alex Ovechkin from the Washington Capitals, has been waiting a long time for his chance with the Stanley Cup and he made it worth it. From keg stands, to filling it with caviar, then champagne and then taking it to the World Cup (soccer) in Russia. IN MY NEXT LIFE I WANT TO BE THE STANLEY CUP

2. The trophy and its handler since 1989, Phil Pritchard, have spent a lot of time with the military but in 2007, the Cup made its first visit to a combat zone when it visited Afghanistan. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE

3. Spending the day with the trophy is an out of this world experience. The trophy spent time on the flight deck of the space shuttle Atlantis. INTERGALACTIC HOCKEY ANYONE?

4. Seriously, the Cup has seen it all including a strip club where it was used as part of a performance, a player’s shower, a star-studded Malibu house party and a proposal and it has been used as a baptismal font, a horse trough and a dog bowl. THE TROPHY HAS LIVED A FULL LIFE

5. You’d think players would treat the coveted trophy with respect but it’s been left on the side of the road, set on fire and then peed on to put out the fire and forgotten in a garden after a photo shoot. SETTING THE WORLD ON FIRE

Rosé All Day

You only have one chance at a first impression, so this weekend put your sports know how to work to leave a lasting one.

You only have one chance at a first impression, so this weekend put your sports know how to work to leave a lasting one.

We’ll raise our glass to that,

The Last Night’s Game Team

NHL (National Hockey League)

When the unthinkable happens. The Washington Capitals are NHL Champions. The team, which capitalized on a 3-1 lead in the series against the Vegas Golden Knights, hoisted the Stanley Cup last night for the first time in franchise history. The playoff MVP and one of hockey’s best Alex Ovechkin, helped break the 44-year curse for the Washington, D.C. franchise. MAKING HISTORY

Overtime

Things are looking rosy for the nation’s capital. Not only did the city win its first Stanley Cup but now the Washington Nationals (MLB – Major League Baseball) are celebrating tomorrow’s National Rosé Day in a big way. They’ll be serving frosé (of course) at a pop-up rosé garden. Fans can also buy tickets in the special “Rosé All Gameday” section and receive a can of rosé with their ticket purchase. CHEERS TO THAT

Sideline stat

In case you needed another reason to don a big hat and drink rosé tomorrow, Justify will take the track at the Belmont Stakes hoping to become the lucky 13th winner of the rarest feat in sports, the Triple Crown. He would be only the second horse to win the Triple Crown in 40 years. (American Pharaoh won in 2015). GO PONIES GO!

Coaches’ corner

Golden State Warriors fans are about to go loco and it’s not only because their team is one win away from winning another NBA (National Basketball Association) championship. Thanks to the Warriors win over the Cleveland Cavaliers on the road earlier this week, everyone in America will get free Doritos Locos Tacos from Taco Bell on June 13th. That being said, the two teams play tonight in a do or die situation for King James and his Cavs. HITTING THE HARDWOOD

What to watch

Last year’s U.S. Open Champion, American Sloane Stephens, is eying a win at yet another grand slam tournament, the French Open. She will take on #1 world ranked Simona Halep tomorrow for the French Open title. (The men's final will take place on Sunday with the semifinals being played today. Follow us on Twitter to find out the final round matchup). HOW TO WATCH
