Wimbledon
The finals were a tale of two finals. Both winners ended up with $2.7 million in prize money, but the way they got there was completely different. The unranked Markéta Vondroušová handed a loss to Ons Jabeur in the women's final. Marketa is the first unranked woman in the Wimbledon Open era to win Wimbledon unranked. Pretty exciting. It was an epic five-set match between Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic in the men's final. Alcaraz is 20, Novak is 36. It was a brutal, brutal match. If you look at pictures of the fans' faces in the stadium, they're holding their faces and hiding behind their hands. It was quite an epic match, but Alcaraz blocked Novak from winning his 24th Grand Slam, which would have been a record.
Lionel Messi + MLS (Major League Soccer)
Ahead of his big reveal to a sold-out stadium tonight, Leo Messi went grocery shopping. Last week he was spotted at a Publix with his family doing his grocery shopping. And tonight, in front of a sold-out stadium of inner Miami fans, he debuted his pink jersey. There were fireworks, and it was quite a celebration. Messi's MLS debut is Friday, July 21.
Tour de France
This weekend, there was a crash in the 15th stage of the Tour de France caused by a fan taking a selfie. The crash took out a significant amount of the field. Those left have a few more stages, as the race has 21 stages.

WNBA (Women's National Basketball Association)
And last but certainly not least, it was an epic WNBA All-Star Game this weekend. We saw Sabrina Ionescu set a record in a three-point competition with 37 points. And, of course, we had a star-studded audience with people like new Chicago Sky investor Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union, and there were a host of NBA stars sitting courtside. It was pretty exciting to see everyone show up for the WNBA All-Star Game in Las Vegas.

Wimbledon
The third Grand Slam tournament of the season starts today, and the Australian Nick Kyrgios will not be playing in Wimbledon. The bad boy dropped out of the tournament with a knee injury.
Novak Djokovic and Iga Svintek are the favorites to win the men's and women's tournaments. Check out our Wimbledon podcast, which is out today, about everything you need about Wimbledon, including Pimm's Cup and Rufus the Hawk, and why they wear white.
Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest
Let's dive into Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest, the gag-inducing event. Miki Sudo hopes to claim her ninth championship at 10:45 am Eastern Time on the fourth. Will Joey Chestnut beat his record of 76 hot dogs in 10 minutes? Find out at noon on the fourth on ESPN2.
PGA (Professional Golfers Association)
Rickie Fowler won his first PGA tournament since 2019, and no one had a chance to see it because CBS was running the golf tournament on a tape delay. So the TV viewers got to watch the rodeo instead. Fans were a little bit disappointed in that one.

Monday Minute - Taylor Swift Sportscast, LeBron In Europe + Men's College World Series
One minute of news to start your week.

It’s the last week in June. Time flies when you’re out there making it happen.
Taylor Swift in MN
Taylor Swift stopped in Minneapolis this weekend for her Eras Tour, and Chris Long, the sportscaster at KSTP in Minneapolis, flawlessly worked 46 Taylor Swift song titles into his sports update. So kudos to you, Chris, because that is impressive.
Men’s College World Series
LSU took a strong lead in game one of the Men’s College World Series (baseball), winning in extra innings against Florida. But Florida came back yesterday, dominating the Tigers to win game two. LSU has already taken home the title of Rocco's Jell-O Shot Challenge Champion in Omaha, and the winner takes all tonight in game three of the College World Series between Florida and LSU.
LeBron Takes on Europe
And last but certainly not least, let's talk about LeBron. He has been seen in Europe because he's demolishing his $37M house, and he's been enjoying the LeMans 24-hour race. He's been hanging out with Draymond Green, formerly from the Golden State Warriors (NBA - National Basketball Association), who is now a free agent. Maybe LeBron is trying to recruit him to the Los Angeles Lakers. LeBron was also spotted in the front row at the Louis Vuitton show in Paris, rubbing Rihanna's baby belly.
