Congrats on making it through the week. Now dive into the weekend chatter.

Go get ‘em know it all,

The Last Night’s Game Team

PS - You can’t have a tailgate without burgers. Here’s a new take on the old favorite. SPICE THINGS UP

NBA (NATIONAL BASKETBALL ASSOCIATION)

Who says one person can’t change an industry? A nine-year-old girl wanted a pair of Steph Curry's basketball shoes for her upcoming season, but couldn't find them in the girls' section on the Under Armour website. So she wrote the Golden State Warrior (NBA – National Basketball Association) a letter about it. Curry addressed it with Under Armour and they changed it to categorize the shoe as ‘grade school,’ not gender specific. Curry also sent her a pair of the shoes along with his yet to be released Curry 6 shoes. GIRLS CAN BE WARRIORS TOO

Overtime

Over the next few weeks be prepared to check out the fancy footwear on the field. Over 800 NFL (National Football League) players will be wearing individualized, specially designed cleats highlighting the charity of their choice. These one-of-a-kind cleats will then be auctioned off to benefit the respective charity. CARRIE BRADSHAW WOULD BE JEALOUS

SIDELINE STAT

WWE's (World Wrestling Entertainment) own John Cena has been chosen to receive this year’s Muhammed Ali Legacy Award for his charitable work. Cena may get oiled up and dominate in the ring but he has a softer side, granting nearly 600 Make-A-Wish wishes in his career as well as advocating for breast cancer early detection. BIG MUSCLES, BIG HEART

COACHES’ CORNER

It’s been a rough week to be a member of the Detroit Lions (NFL). First Alex Trebek mocked them on “Jeopardy” and now they’re continuing to draw criticism for practicing outdoors in freezing temps when the team plays indoors. IT BUILDS CHARACTER

WHAT TO WATCH

This weekend, college football brings us the gift of conference championships. The best in each conference will face off ahead of Selection Sunday. The game to watch is Alabama (#1) vs Georgia (#4), a rematch of last year’s national championship game. (Alabama won).

Then there’s Selection Sunday. That’s when all of the powers that be announce the top four teams that will face off for the National Championship as well as which teams play in which bowl games. SHOW ‘EM WHO’S TOPS

Black Friday Banter

While leftovers are good, being left out of the conversation is not.

While leftovers are good, being left out of the conversation is not.

Still in a food coma,

The Last Night’s Game Team

PS - Wondering what to do with those leftovers? Today’s Tailgate Treat puts a new twist on them. FRIENDSGIVING NACHOS

NFL (NATIONAL FOOTBALL LEAGUE)

Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton is in the Thanksgiving spirit. He shared his gratitude with the community, serving 1,200 meals to underprivileged kids and sending them all home with a second meal. GOOD GUY ALERT

OVERTIME

The University of Texas mascot Bevo, a live longhorn steer, won’t be permitted to attend the team’s game at Kansas today. This is only the second time in 73 years that Bevo won’t be at the Thanksgiving weekend game. WHERE’S THE BEEF?

SIDELINE STAT

The battle between two of golf’s greatest takes place today in Las Vegas. “The Match” between Phil Mickelson and Tiger Woods is for all the bragging rights and $9 million in prize money. Any winnings from their side bets will go to charity. JACKPOT

COACHES’ CORNER

The biggest college football game this weekend is Michigan vs. Ohio State. The rivalry between these two teams has been established for generations and both of the teams are in the running for the national championship. Fun fact – the two head coaches (Jim Harbaugh/Urban Meyer) were born in same hospital in Akron, OH seven months apart. MATERNITY WARD MATCHUP

WHAT TO WATCH

It’s a fight for the ages (literally). With a combined age of 91, veteran fighters Chuck Liddell and Tito Ortiz are shaking off the cobwebs of their bitter rivalry to fight Saturday night. BATTLE OF THE BALD GUYS

Friday I’m In Love

The holiday season is sneaking up and instead of talking politics with your loved ones, give the gift of sports gab.

What midterm elections?

PS - Who doesn’t love a little chips and guacamole combo? This Tailgate Treat comes straight from the Last Night’s Game family cookbook. GUAC IT TO ME

College Football

Two iconic brands meet on the streets of New York this weekend. The Fighting Irish of Notre Dame will play a home game against Syracuse in Yankee Stadium, all while wearing Yankees inspired football uniforms. PRETTY SWEET

Overtime

Kansas City Chiefs (NFL - National Football League) quarterback Patrick Mahomes is having a stellar season and what's the one thing that makes this phenom happy? Ketchup. He puts it on everything from steak to macaroni and cheese. Recognizing his affinity for their craft, Heinz has promised Mahomes free ketchup for life if he throws 57 touchdown passes this season. (Get it? Heinz 57). He'll have to throw 26 touchdown passes in the final six games to reach that milestone. HE BETTER KETCHUP

Sideline stat

Who said baseball was a dying sport? It wasn’t FOX network. They agreed to a to a seven-year, $5.1 billion TV deal with MLB (Major League Baseball). The league also agreed to a $300 million deal with streaming service DAZN. HOME RUN AT THE BANK

Coaches’ corner

This Sunday is the final race of the season and it will determine the Monster Energy NASCAR (National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing) Cup champion. There are four drivers who are in it to win it all - Joey Logano, Kyle Busch, Martin Truex Jr. and Kevin Harvick. Let’s hope Sunday’s race is as competitive as the race between these four on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. A NAIL BITER

What to watch

The Minnesota Timberwolves (NBA – National Basketball Association) are hitting the hardwood in jerseys honoring the man who is known simply as a symbol, Prince. Other teams are donning their special City Edition uniforms and find out what inspired them by checking out our Five Things To Know. Hint – one team is honoring another late, great hypnotizing musician.
