KENTUCKY DERBY
It's been a year in the making, and finally, the Kentucky Derby is tomorrow, but today it's all about the ladies in the Kentucky Oaks. Here the tradition is for fans to wear pink when the 3-year-old fillies (female horses) run for the honor of wearing the winner's garland of lilies. (Tomorrow's Derby is for the 3-year-old male horses).
We have everything you need to know for the Derby narrowed down here. Keep an eye out for rapper and future star of the reboot of “White Men Can't Jump,” Jack Harlow, who will give the “Riders Up” call. FASTEST TWO MINUTES IN SPORTS
Short and Sweet
As is tradition for Cinco De Mayo weekend, there will be a boxing match in Las Vegas. The undisputed world super middleweight champion Saul “Canelo" Alvarez is going up a weight class to take on WBA light heavyweight titleholder Dmitry Bivol.
The WNBA (Women's National Basketball Association) season starts today, and all 12 teams' courts will feature a floor decal honoring the all-star Brittney Griner, who is being detained in Russia.
Before We Go
This weekend marks the first race ever for F1 (Formula One) in Miami. Even though cars won't be racing in famed South Beach, you're likely to get whiplash from all the celebrity sightings. Seven-time world champion driver Lewis Hamilton played in a celebrity golf tournament with Tom Brady ahead of the race. Driver Pierre Gasly dined with Michael Jordan. (Jordan also happens to be an owner of a NASCAR - National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing- team).
As only Miami can do, Hard Rock has a beach club and pool area, with tickets in the "sand" selling for $1,000. The only other F1 race in the U.S. is in Austin, with Las Vegas added to the schedule in 2023. START YOUR ENGINES

Let’s buy a soccer team
Serena Williams (tennis) and Lewis Hamilton (Formula One) join the ownership group attempting to buy Premier League Team, Chelsea (soccer). Both athletes pledged $13 million toward purchasing the team by a group of investors led by former Liverpool (soccer) chairman Martin Broughton. Russian oligarch Roman Abramovich is selling the team after British government sanctions imposed on him following the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
Williams is no stranger to professional sports team ownership. She and her daughter Olympia are part of the ownership group that owns Los Angeles' Angel City FC, an NWSL (National Women's Soccer League) team. FOR SALE
