What armpits have to do with equal pay, who drank so much they fell down and why you should always play golf with Charles Barkley.
Anything is achievable with coffee and wine.

U.S. Women’s National Soccer Team
Secret deodorant is helping to bridge the pay gap for the U.S. Women’s National Soccer Team, pledging $529,000 - $23,000 for each of the 23 players on the U.S. team that won the World Cup. (Luna Bar made a similar contribution earlier in the year). The smell good team sponsor also took out a full-page ad in the New York Times, encouraging the U.S. Soccer Federation to “be on the right side of history.” FRESHNESS FOR EQUALITY

Things were going great for NASCAR XFINITY Series (National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing) driver Cole Custer, until they weren’t. (XFINITY is essentially one level down from the 'big leagues' of the sport). He was celebrating his victory on Friday night by standing on his driver side window while pouring two nice cold beers over his face. He leaned back a bit too far and fell off the car. THERE’S VIDEO...IT’S TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE

It was a tale of two cities in London this weekend at Wimbledon. In the women’s finals, Simona Halep became the first Romanian to win a Wimbledon title. She dominated Serena Williams in 55 minutes but was more excited to meet Duchesses Kate and Meghan, who attended the match together.
Yesterday, in the men’s finals, Serbian Novak Djokovic ousted Roger Federer. Their duel was the antitheses of the women’s match, lasting 4 hours and 55 minutes, the longest finals match in Wimbledon history. Afterward Djokovic celebrated by munching on the grass court. IT WAS KETO FRIENDLY

Post-retirement life is going well for former quarterback Tony Romo. While he successfully defended his American Century Championship (i.e. celebrity golf tourney), Charles Barkley (NBA - National Basketball Association Hall of Famer/TV analyst) showed us why you never bet on Sir Charles to win. The queens of soccer silenced their critics, tonight the chicks will dig the long ball and it’s Manic Monday at Wimbledon.

Women’s World Cup
The U.S. Women are champions of the world again. While critics didn’t like how confident this team was, they earned it, becoming only the second country ever to pull off back-to-back Women’s World Cup wins. (The other is Germany). Their lavender-haired captain, Megan Rapinoe, scored the first goal, making her the oldest woman to ever score in a World Cup final at the age of 34. SHE CELEBRATED LIKE A VETERAN TOO

It’s literally Manic Monday at Wimbledon (tennis). Seriously, it’s referred to as Manic Monday because everyone had a day off yesterday, therefore everyone will be playing today. All eyes will be on 15-year-old American Coco Gauff, as she continues her climb to the finals. The other American wowing everyone is unseeded Alison Riske who ousted #1 ranked Ash Barty today. It’s time for the MLB (Major League Baseball) All-Star festivities starting with the Home Run Derby tonight in Cleveland with the winner taking home a giant $1 million prize for the first time ever. The epicenter has shifted to Los Angeles and no we’re not talking about earthquakes. The two L.A. NBA (National Basketball Association) teams made some serious off-season moves over the weekend that have them both at the top of sports books and experts’ lists to win the championship. The Clippers secured the Toronto Raptors (last season’s champions) top player, Kawhi Leonard and the Lakers landed Anthony Davis. LEGIT IN LA LA LAND

Yesterday was the first day of free agency and it was a big deal for a New York team, just not the one everyone expected. The Brooklyn Nets shocked the sports world by signing the hottest player on the market in Kevin Durant, who played for the Golden State Warriors last season. Knicks fans were hoping this was their year but alas, their hearts were left broken. GROUP THERAPY?

MLB’s (MLB - Major League Baseball) first-ever regular season games in London were a success. There were a lot of runs scored, Freddie Mercury won the mascot race and of course, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry visited both the Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees locker rooms. The gifts the teams gave to baby Archie had Harry throwing some shade. PRETTY IN PINSTRIPES

Today’s a great day to wear white as Wimbledon begins today. (Players are required to wear all white). The most intriguing match is between the oldest player in the tournament, American Venus Williams, 39, vs. the youngest player, American Cori Gauff, 15. Williams reached four of her nine Wimbledon finals before Gauff was born. AT LEAST SHE CAN BUY BEER

It was a rough day for another New York team, the Mets (MLB). Their season hasn’t been going so well (remember the coach/player confrontation with a reporter)? Now they’re apologizing again for including two of their players, who are very much alive, in their “In Memoriam.” THEY’LL REMEMBER THEM NOW

We’re down to the final four teams in the Women’s World Cup. Tomorrow the U.S. Women will meet up with England in a loser goes home match. (Sweden and the Netherlands are the other two teams). The U.S. Women’s head coach, Jill Ellis, will be facing off against her birth country, one that denied her the opportunity to play soccer as a girl. MAKE IT COUNT
