After last week's massive wave of concern for the whereabouts of Chinese tennis player Peng Shuai after she went missing, there's a little sigh of relief. International Olympic Committee president Thomas Bach held a video phone call with three-time Olympian Shuai. The WTA (Women's Tennis Association) said, "This video does not change our call for a full, fair and transparent investigation, without censorship, into her allegation of sexual assault, which is the issue that gave rise to our initial concern."
Shuai went missing after posting a now-deleted social media message accusing a high-ranking Chinese official of sexual assault. A WELCOME SIGHT

Olympic gold medal gymnast Suni Lee revealed that she was pepper-sprayed in a racist attack. Lee, who was the first Hmong American to go to the Olympics - let alone win gold, was waiting for an Uber with her friends, all of whom were of Asian descent. A car pulled up beside them, and the passengers yelled at them, telling them to "go back to where they came from." One of the passengers sprayed Lee's arm with pepper spray as they sped off. It only seemed fitting that Kyle Larson won the NASCAR (National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing) Championship in Phoenix yesterday. A year and a half ago, it seemed like Larson's career was toast. He was fired and lost nearly every sponsor for using a racial slur while racing online.
