Yesterday, Oklahoma made history by winning the Women’s College World Series, achieving the first-ever four-peat in college softball. Go Sooners!

NBA Finals: Celtics Dominate Mavericks

Last night, the Boston Celtics came out swinging in the first game of the NBA Finals and dominated the Dallas Mavericks. Game two is on Sunday.

French Open Finals: Swiatek vs. Paolini

On the women’s side, Iga Świątek (No. 1) defeated American Coco Gauff and will play against Italy’s Jasmine Paolini in the finals on Saturday. Świątek has an impressive streak, not losing at Roland Garros in three years.

On the men’s side, with Novak Djokovic out due to a knee injury, Janek Sinner will take over the number-one world ranking regardless of the results of his match in the semifinals later today.

Major League Baseball World Tour: London Series

Stanley Pups: Adorable Competition

Today is the first-ever “Stanley Pup.” This 90-minute show features celebrity dog lovers like Kristin Chenoweth. Lisa Vanderpump and Miranda Lambert, alongside adorable adoptable dogs representing the 16 teams that qualified for the Stanley Cup Finals. NHL (National Hockey League) players will introduce these furry friends, supporting local pet adoptions.

Stanley Cup Finals: Panthers vs. Oilers

The Stanley Cup Finals see the Florida Panthers in their second straight appearance, while the Edmonton Oilers return for the first time since 2006. Fun fact: the travel distance between Edmonton and Sunrise, Florida, sets a record for the longest in Stanley Cup Finals history at 2,541 miles.

Simone Biles continues to make history, winning her record-extending 9th all-around national title at the US Gymnastics Championships on Sunday. Even more impressive is that she’s having fun while doing it. The national championships are the final event for US gymnasts before the Olympic Trials in late June. The women’s team for Paris 2024 will be chosen after these trials.

Softball World Series Semifinals

The Softball World Series Semifinals are set for today, determining who will compete in the finals starting Wednesday. Oklahoma is aiming for its fourth straight championship. Here’s the schedule:

WNBA Update

The Indiana Fever (Women’s National Basketball Association) celebrated their first home win of the season. Still, the game’s chatter was dominated by Chicago Sky’s Chennedy Carter’s flagrant foul, which initially went uncalled. The foul was later changed to a flagrant, and the Sky were fined for not making all players available for post-game media, including Angel Reese, who was fined $1,000.

Golf Drama and Triumph

Robert McIntyre won his first career event at the 2024 RBC Canadian Open with his dad, Dougie, as his caddie. This father-son duo proved to be a winning combination.
