Look, we all know the only conversation being had this week is going to be about the election so how about turn that into a positive spin vs. a cringeworthy conversation. Did you know that over 60 professional and collegiate sporting facilities have turned into poling locations for the election? Overtime
The biggest news of the weekend was surely the engagement of power couple Sue Bird and Megan Rapinoe. The two were on vacation when Rapinoe, the U.S. Women’s National Team captain (soccer), popped the question to Bird, a WNBA (Women’s National Basketball Association) super star. This ring is the second big bling for Bird in 2020 as her Seattle Storm team won the WNBA Championship. The two met at the 2016 Summer Olympics and together they have five Olympic Gold Medals and a plethora of championships. Clearly, the two make our list of the top five power couples in sports and here’s who else is on that list. MATCH MADE IN (OLYMPIC) HEAVEN

The Pittsburgh Steelers (NFL – National Football League) are the only team to start the season 7-0 and it’s the first time the team has done so since 1978. Why is that such a notable year? Well that’s the year the Steelers started the season 7-0 and won the Super Bowl. The New York Jets on the other hand are 0-8. WILL HISTORY REPEAT ITSELF?

Jon Lester has had a great run with the Chicago Cubs (MLB - Major League Baseball), even helping them win the 2016 World Series. But all things must come to an end and he wanted to thank Cubs fans. So this weekend he offered to buy any fan who ordered a Miller Lite at one of four bars a beer. He spent over $25,000 on 3,466 beers. SO LONG, FAREWELL
