After the loss of Kobe Bryant, it’ll be a somber NBA All-Star Game this weekend in Chicago. While it’ll be a muted celebration, expect to see the best of the best in Saturday’s skills and slam dunk competition. Sunday’s game will feature a new scoring system to honor Bryant (catch our Instagram story where we explain the new, confusing system). The teams will also honor the Bryants with Team LeBron (team captain) wearing #2 for Gianna and Team Giannis (also team captain) wearing #24 in honor of Kobe. Both teams will wear patches to honor all nine victims of the fatal helicopter crash that killed Gianna and Kobe Bryant. FOR THE LOVE OF BASKETBALL
Overtime
We all know that college sports rivalries run deep with generations of distain for each other. Enter in Target (or Tar-jay depending on how fancy you are) who missed that memo. They misprinted and tried to sell infant onsies that said Minnesota Badgers. Now everyone from Minnesota (which is where Target is based) knows that the badger is the mascot of their rival Wisconsin, not the beloved mascot for the local university. Fans were so fired up that Target issued an official apology. SAY YOU’RE SORRY TO THE FUTURE GENERATION OF CONFUSED FANS

The Daytona 500 will kick off the NASCAR (National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing) season on Sunday. It’ll be the 62nd running of the race that used to take place on the sands of Daytona Beach before they had a racetrack. The Thunderbirds will perform a flyover while Nalani Quintello, who was an “American Idol” contestant that withdrew from the competition to enlist in the Air Force, sings the national anthem. Dale Earnhardt Jr. will waive the green flag to start the race and the Grand Marshal of the Daytona 500, President Trump, will tell the drivers to “start their engines.” THE SUPER BOWL OF RACING

Things are getting wild in NASCAR so get those Twitter fingers ready because every time Kevin Harvick goes to pit (i.e get a tire change, fuel, clean his windshield) during Sunday’s Daytona 500, you’ll have a chance to win a car that looks like just his race car. Intrigued? Tweet using #Pit4Busch and #Sweepstakes during the pit stop, which usually lasts no more than 12 seconds, to be eligible. Harvick was the same driver last year who drove the Millennial Car featuring Millennials’ favorite sayings and items like avocado toast. FAST FINGERS
