Just Say No

It's the busy holiday season so something to keep in mind this week is when saying yes to someone else, are you saying no to yourself?

That and say no to boring small talk with today's write-up.

Shameless plug, we know,
The Last Night's Game Team

COLLEGE FOOTBALL

The College Football Selection Committee has spoken, and four teams, Alabama, Georgia, Cincinnati and Michigan, are one step closer to winning it all. The two winners from the New Year's Eve games will play in the National Championship Game on January 10.

After Selection Sunday yesterday, the game we have an eye on is the Duke's Mayo Bowl, but it has nothing to do with the teams on the field. In last year's inaugural Duke's Mayo Bowl game, everyone was hoping for a mayo dump on the winning coach vs. the traditional Gatorade dousing. Duke's Mayo Bowl is upping their game this year, offering $10,000 to the charity of the winning team's choice if they shower their head coach with mayo. EVERYONE WINS

SHORT AND SWEET

  • This coach was so disgusted with his team that he called a timeout to make the players run sprints.

  • Gardner Minshew (NFL - National Football League) won yesterday's game before it even started by channeling his inner Maverick (or Iceman).

BEFORE WE GO

The Detroit Lions dedicated their game yesterday to the Oxford High School shooting victims. Maybe it was a higher power or great football, but the Lions took home their first win of the season yesterday.

Michigan dedicated their game to one of the Oxford shooting victims, Tate Myre, who has been hailed as a hero for his attempt to disarm the gunman. Michigan scored 42 points in their win. No. 42 was Myre's jersey number. CHILLS
