May this be the week where everything goes precisely to plan.
At least the small talk will be easy,
The Last Night’s Game Team
College football
In one of the strangest moves we’ve seen in college football, Ohio State linebacker K’Vaughan Pope walked off the field and quit the team in the middle of the game. He later took to Twitter, where he said, “Fucc Ohio State.” In his postgame press conference, Ohio State head coach Ryan Day mentioned that players can play for a team for up to four games and still be able to transfer. NO LOVE LOST HERE, APPARENTLY
Overtime
We fell in love with them in Tokyo, and now Paralympian Hunter Woodall and Olympian Tara Davis are continuing their journey together as husband and wife. Woodall, a three-time Paralympian, proposed yesterday on the beach during their getaway in Cabo San Lucas. TOO CUTE
Sideline stat
It’s not often we get to talk about kickers, but Baltimore Ravens’ (NFL – National Football League) kicker Justin Tucker nailed a 66-yard field goal to lead his team over the Detroit Lions. Tucker is more than just a great kicker; he also happens to be an opera singer. SOMETHING TO FALL BACK ON
Coaches’ corner
Team USA broke its Ryder Cup (golf) losing streak to Team Europe in dominating fashion. The team, who celebrated by chugging High Noon and champagne, handed Europe the worst loss since the US joined the Ryder Cup in 1979. BETTER LUCK NEXT TIME
