A note to future LSU (Lousiana State) opponents - buy more beer. The Tigers played at the Rose Bowl this weekend and their fans, along with UCLA Bruins fans, drank the stadium out of alcohol before kickoff. In all fairness, the Rose Bowl was out of practice as this is the first year they’re selling alcohol during the regular season. Adding insult to injury, LSU lost to UCLA. KICK ‘EM WHILE THEY’RE DOWN

It has been a rough few months for tennis player Naomi Osaka (No. 3), who has been very transparent about her mental health struggles. This weekend after she lost at the US Open, Osaka told reporters that she's taking a break from tennis and doesn't know when she'll play her next professional match. In her post-match press conference, Osaka said, "I feel like for me recently when I win I don't feel happy. I feel more like a relief. And then when I lose, I feel very sad. We all know that following COVID protocols is a challenge as they seem to change from one day to the next. During the Argentina-Brazil soccer game this weekend in Sao Paolo, the Brazilian Police and National Health Surveillance Agency stormed the field to detain four Argentinian players for failing to disclose they were in the UK in the last 14 days. The UK is on Brazil's banned travel list. OOPS…

Ahead of the start of the NFL (National Football League) season this week, Tom Brady confirmed that he tested positive for COVID shortly after the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Super Bowl championship boat parade. In an interview, he also shared that he thinks COVID will be a much bigger player this season than last with looser restrictions on players, travel and fans in the stands. Brady and his Bucs kick off the NFL season on Thursday night against the Dallas Cowboys. WAIT AND SEE
