Brain Food

Here's to you recognizing your full potential this weekend.

Loving that big, beautiful brain of yours,
The Last Night's Game Team

NFL (National Football League)

This weekend, the Pro Bowl, the NFL's All-Star Game, finds a new home in Las Vegas. Players who show up get paid. The game-winners receive $80,000 each (that's more than the losing team in the Super Bowl gets), and the losers go home with $40,000 each. The NFL has sweetened the pot for players to attend as it's risky to play one more game and tempt fate with a possible career-ending injury. You won't see any players from the Rams or Bengals in the game as they are not eligible ahead of next weekend's Super Bowl. TOUCHDOWN DANCE

Short and Sweet

  • China topped off an Opening Ceremonies with a surprise. One of the Chinese athletes to light the torch was Dinigeer Yilamujiang, a Chinese cross country skier. Yilamujiang is from Xinjiang and is an ethnic Uyghur. Alleged crimes against humanity against the Uyghur and other mostly-Muslim ethnic groups caused countries worldwide to impose a diplomatic boycott of the Winter Games.

  • NASCAR (National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing) kicks off its season by taking over the Coliseum in Los Angeles. NASCAR team owner Pitbull will perform before the race, and Ice Cube will provide a musical interlude mid-race.

  • Bill Murray, Josh Duhamel, and Mia Hamm are a few celebrities hitting the links this weekend as part of the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.

Before We Go

The NHL (National Hockey League) All-Star Game takes over Las Vegas this weekend. From an oversized card game that will shut down part of the strip to an all-star game featuring a performance from Machine Gun Kelly and four teams with a chance at $1 million. The skills competition will occur on a "rink" in the Bellagio Fountain, as only Vegas can do. Participants in the skills competition will be boated out onto the "rink," The added elements of fountain spray and breeze will all be a part of the experience. HERE FOR THE PARTY
