Weekend Preview: Kelce’s Seafood Alfredo, Your Weekend Binge Watch + Coldest Game In NFL History

Forget small talk about the weather; that’s boring. Let's dive into the drama-filled weekend ahead.

Legendary coaches got the memo

Pete Carroll, Nick Saban, and Bill Belichick are all making moves. The Seahawks fired Carroll, Saban retired and Belichick parted ways with the Patriots.

The NFL Playoffs

Now, the NFL (National Football League) playoffs – where the storylines couldn’t be any better if the NFL wrote them themselves. (PS - there are more games, but we’re highlighting one game from each day).

Saturday - Miami Dolphins vs. Kansas City Chiefs

The Miami Dolphins are heading to freezing cold Kansas City, and their matchup is exclusively on Peacock. Fans are not thrilled, but it's an excuse to have a get-together with your friend who has Peacock. The Chiefs' Travis Kelce's personal chef revealed his 4,000-calorie diet consists of oatmeal and seafood alfredo. That dish may be perfect for after this game, which could be the coldest in NFL history.

The best part about the story of Kelce’s personal chef is that it’s his childhood friend who used to cook for them all the time as kids. He was a truck driver until Kelce called him, and he’s never looked back.

Sunday- Los Angeles Rams vs. Detroit Lions

This game has a quarterback swap that screams soap opera drama. Both QBs previously played for their opponent. Matt Stafford is heading back to Detroit, where he played for 12 years, where Jared Goff will face his former team that swapped him for Stafford.

Australian Open

Before the Australian Open (tennis) on Sunday, binge-watch “Break Point” season two on Netflix to prep yourself for the start of the tennis season. Australian Open begins Sunday, one day earlier than usual, for the first time in the tournament's 119-year history. The Open is hoping to avoid the late-night games that they’re famous for.

Breaking glass ceilings in baseball

In Major League Baseball, Rachel Bulevec signed as the Miami Marlins' Director of Player Development. She previously coached in their minor league system - the first woman to be a full-time manager for a Major League-affiliated team.

That's your Friday roundup – short, sweet, and ready for the weekend.
