Monday Minute: The Fashion MVP, Super Wild Card + The NBA’s MLK Day Tradition

Happy Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Whether you’re at work or blissfully enjoying a national holiday nap, make it your Monday. Let's dive into the weekend highlights, shall we?

NFL Wild Card Recap: Streaming Success and MVP Jackets

Super Wild Card games may not have all been nailbiters, but Peacock celebrated like they won the Super Bowl with 23M viewers for Chiefs vs. Dolphins. NBC called it the "most streamed event ever." Fans didn’t love that the game was exclusively on Peacock, but they still showed up.

Kristin Juszczyk stole the show this weekend, crafting custom jackets for Taylor Swift, Brittany Mahomes, and even Taylor Lautner. Kirstin’s husband Kyle plays for the San Francisco 49ers, and he was a proud hubby shouting her out all over social media. His Niners will pay the Packers next weekend.

In the Los Angeles Rams vs. Detroit Lions game, Detroit clinched its first playoff win in 32 years. Amon-ra St. Brown dyed his hair blue, keeping the promise made if the Lions made the playoffs. We smell a new fashion trend in Detriot.

Monday Night Mayhem: Bills Mafia, Shirtless Shoveling, and Injury Drama

Tonight, the NFL goes head-to-head with the Emmy Awards, featuring the icy game between the Buffalo Bills vs. Pittsburgh Steelers and Eagles vs. Buccaneers.

Due to weather, the Buffalo-Pittsburgh game was rescheduled from Sunday to Monday and will begin at 4:40 pm ET. The Bills Mafia showed up. They’re the real MVPs, shoveling out the stadium shirtless in a snowstorm – I barely survive winter with a heated blanket.

The Bucs-Eagles game features two teams riddled with injuries. Will this be Jason Kelce’s last playoff game? Find out in the evening game starting at 8:15 pm ET.

NBA vs. NFL Showdown: Ratings Battle

The NBA (National Basketball Association) has played on every Martin Luther King Jr. Day since the holiday was first observed in 1986. (With one exception of the lockout season). Can the league compete with the NFL doubleheader today? Golden State Warriors Draymond Green is expected to return from his NBA suspension today.

Djokovic Dominates Down Under: Teen vs. Tennis Titan

Novak Djokovic made a teen tennis player's debut memorable at the Australian Open. The intimidation was real, but Djokovic went with the 'respectful legend' vibe. Catch more on the first Grand Slam tournament of the season on Wednesday's podcast.

As you navigate the week, remember - sports are like life: unpredictable, occasionally messy, but always entertaining.
