Injuries continue to plague the defending NBA Champion Golden State Warriors in the Finals, with the Toronto Raptors up 2-1 in the series. To add insult to injury (pun intended), one of their minority owners shouted an obscenity at a Raptors player and shoved him during the last game. Mark Stevens has been fined $500,000 by the NBA and banned from attending games for one year. COME AT ME BRO

If you thought you were a champ for showing up to work today, wait until you read this. Boston Bruins player Zdeno Chara broke his jaw in game four of the NHL (National Hockey League) Stanley Cup Finals but he played in game five last night, broken jaw and all. Sadly, his grit didn’t equal a win as the St. Louis Blues pulled within one game of winning it all. PROOF THAT HOCKEY PLAYERS ARE HARDCORE

When the unthinkable happens. The Washington Capitals are NHL Champions. The team, which capitalized on a 3-1 lead in the series against the Vegas Golden Knights, hoisted the Stanley Cup last night for the first time in franchise history. The playoff MVP and one of hockey’s best Alex Ovechkin, helped break the 44-year curse for the Washington, D.C. franchise. MAKING HISTORY

Things are looking rosy for the nation’s capital. Not only did the city win its first Stanley Cup but now the Washington Nationals (MLB – Major League Baseball) are celebrating tomorrow’s National Rosé Day in a big way. They’ll be serving frosé (of course) at a pop-up rosé garden. Fans can also buy tickets in the special “Rosé All Gameday” section and receive a can of rosé with their ticket purchase. CHEERS TO THAT

In case you needed another reason to don a big hat and drink rosé tomorrow, Justify will take the track at the Belmont Stakes hoping to become the lucky 13th winner of the rarest feat in sports, the Triple Crown. The Race For The Triple Crown

When there’s no surprise here. Kentucky Derby winner, Justify, was the heavy favorite in Saturday’s Preakness Stakes. It wasn’t pretty but Justify easily won the sloppy, muddy race. The Preakness is the second of three races a horse has to win to achieve the Triple Crown. With two of those races in the bag, the next stop for Justify is the Belmont Stakes on June 9, where he hopes to become the next Triple Crown winner. MORE ON THE RACE

Speaking of crowns, you couldn’t avoid the coverage of the royal wedding this weekend. As expected, even the sporty were invited. Tennis star Serena Williams and soccer great David Beckham, along with their spouses, looked the part donning a different kind of uniform for the royal celebration. PICS

The first all-athlete season of Dancing With The Stars comes to a close tonight in the season finale and may the most coordinated win. The final three athletes left standing are Josh Norman, player for the Washington Redskins (NFL – National Football League) and two members of the Olympic figure skating team – Adam Rippon and Tonya Harding. With “Star Wars” favorite Chewbacca sitting courtside, the Cleveland Cavaliers (NBA – National Basketball Association) embodied the power of the force when they dominated the Boston Celtics in their playoff game this weekend. Did you know that new Chewbacca is actually played by former Penn State and Finnish basketball player Joonas Suotamo? So maybe the wookie does have game? The Vegas Golden Knights are in! In their inaugural season the team continues to chase history, defeating the Winnipeg Jets last night to advance to the Stanley Cup Finals.
