Sports – helping you create conversation since the Romans competed in the Olympics naked.

Glad we weren’t there on National Selfie Day,

The Last Night’s Game Team

NBA (National Basketball Association)

Curious who your team selected? Find out here.

NHL (National Hockey League)

  • What happens in Vegas ends up on Twitter. Ahead of today's NHL Draft in Chicago, the new kids on the block, the Las Vegas Golden Knights, revealed their 30-man roster and their new jerseys, which Twitter hated. For more coverage on the trade rumors and to find out who is the coveted first pick, click here.

College Baseball World Series

  • Narrowing it down. The pool of 64 teams has dwindled down to four in this double elimination tournament. Tonight the TCU Horned Frogs (Texas Christian University) will take on the Florida Gators and the Oregon State Beavers will play the LSU Tigers (Louisiana State University). The winners of those series will face each other in the finals.

Overtime

  • New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady (NFL – National Football League) has been on a tour of Asia with his son and Under Armour. On the trip the boys learned a thing or two about blocking and man buns when they became sumo wrestlers for a day in Japan. The photos are classic.

Coaches’ corner

  • In the first weekend of the America's Cup, Emirates Team New Zealand took a commanding lead over Team Oracle U.S.A. in Bermuda. Tomorrow, Team U.S.A. will begin the uphill battle to take home the win. If the situation sounds familiar it’s because in the 2013 finals, Team U.S.A. came from behind to beat Team New Zealand. The Rundown: 5 Things To Know About March Madness

March Madness is here and we haven’t been this excited since we found out how to use Snapchat filters.  Don’t forget to fill out your bracket by tomorrow morning.

Knock ‘em dead,

The Last Night’s Game Team

Five Things To Know About March Madness

  1. Bet on blue. Teams that wear uniforms with blue as the primary color have won 20 of the 32 championships.
  2. When choosing your bracket, remember that the most likely upset is a #12 team over a #5 and no #16 team has ever beat a #1 team.
  3. According to Vegas oddsmakers, the favorite teams to win the national championship are Duke, Kansas and North Carolina.
  4. The NCAA women’s bracket is out and UConn (University of Connecticut) is looking to win their fifth straight championship.
  5. The tournament is prime time for sponsors with over 11.3 million viewers last year. Although Nike still rules the court when it comes to team sponsorships.
  • Nike sponsors 40 of the teams
  • Adidas – 15 teams
  • Under Armour-  12 teams
  • Russell Athletic – 1 teams

Here is the full schedule including what channel and how to stream the games at work.

Overtime

  • Gold medal Olympic figure skater Scott Hamilton reported that it’s nothing short of a miracle that his third brain tumor has shrunk without treatment. He previously beat testicular cancer and two similar benign tumors before he was diagnosed with his latest in 2016.

Sideline stat

  • Coming soon to an office near you. Don’t expect a lot of work to happen over the next few weeks because nearly 40 million people fill out March Madness brackets. It’s estimated that $4 billion is lost in work productivity during tournament.

Coaches’ corner

  • During March Madness you’ll hear the term “Cinderella team” thrown around but it doesn’t have anything to do with a lost shoe at midnight. The term is used to describe an underdog team that defies the odds and wins against teams that were expected to crush them.

The Rundown: Weekend Preview Edition

Here comes Peter Cottontail, hopping down the basketball court. Isn't that how the song goes? Then the Easter bunny doesn’t know March Madness. Book your spot on the couch for all of the courtside excitement this weekend.

Pass the Cadbury Eggs please,

The Last Night’s Game Team

MLB (Major League Baseball)

  • Long road to retirement. New York Yankees star Alex “A-Rod” Rodriguez announced he will retire when his contract is up after the 2017 season. If he plays out his contract he will have made over $400 million in his 20-year career (not including endorsements). He will be the first ever American professional athlete to pass the $400 million mark. We’re sure he doesn’t regret much about his career. Okay maybe his involvement with steroids and of course the photoshoot where he kissed himself in the mirror. He is known for his love of beautiful women having dated Hollywood’s finest in Kate Hudson, Cameron Diaz and Madonna. Six degrees of separation anyone?

NCAA Basketball (College)

  • Please pass go. On Thursday, Villanova (#2), Kansas (#1), Oregon (#1) and Oklahoma (#2) dominated to reach the Elite Eight. So long Duke (#4).
  • Friday fun. Friday holds the second half Sweet 16 basketball. Full schedule here.
  • There goes the weekend. Teams in the Elite Eight will play this Saturday and Sunday. Here’s the schedule.

NFL (National Football League)

  • It’s a hard knock life. The newest residents of Los Angeles, the Rams, will be featured on the show “Hard Knocks” on HBO. The show will follow the team throughout training camp. The Rams are re-locating from St. Louis to L.A.
  • RG3 moves to the C. Free agent quarterback Robert Griffin III, (aka RG3) signed a two-year contract with Cleveland Browns. (Party boy Johnny Manziel was the former QB for the Browns). RG3 was drafted second overall in 2012 draft by the Washington Redskins and was named the offensive rookie of the year that season. Since then, injuries and differing views from coaches led to his release from Redskins. A healthy RG3 did not play in a single game last year due to coaching decisions.

Overtime

  • MLB is encouraging all fans to put their #CapsOn and wear their favorite team's cap on Monday, April 4th in honor of the opening day of baseball. Ellen DeGeneres and her studio audience shared their #CapsOn opening day excitement on Thursday. Share with us the team’s hat you’ll be sporting that day.

Sideline stat

  • Cleveland Browns have had 24 different starting quarterbacks since their reinstatement in 1999 which is the most QB swaps in the NFL during that time span. Apparently it’s as easy as swiping left.

Coaches’ Corner

  • Who's the boss? Warriors’ Stephen Curry shared how his daughter, Riley, helped sway his decision to move to Under Armour. He told the story of how she was presented with a Nike, Adidas and Under Armour shoe. One by one she picked up the Nike and Adidas shoes and threw them over her shoulder. She picked up the remaining shoe and brought it to Curry. The queen has spoken.
