The shocking move over the weekend that still has everyone talking is the retirement of Andrew Luck, 29, quarterback for the Indianapolis Colts. He only played six seasons but injuries have taken a toll not only on his body but his psyche, saying injuries have taken his joy of the sport away. Surprisingly, the Colts are not going to ask for any of his $24.8 million signing bonus back, even though he didn’t fulfill his contract. GOOD NEWS, BAD NEWS

Former Olympic skier Lindsey Vonn and NHL (National Hockey League) player P.K. Subban surprised us with their engagement. The two have been dating since early 2018 and Subban showed that diamonds aren’t a girl’s best friend, proposing with an emerald engagement ring. (Her favorite color is green and an emerald is his birthstone). GOING TO THE CHAPEL

What to watch
It’s tradition for Boston Red Sox (MLB - Major League Baseball) fans to sing “Sweet Caroline” after the 7th inning stretch. Well, the San Diego Padres took advantage of homefield advantage and while they started playing the Sox fans' favorite song, they rickrolled it, cutting out to Rick Astley’s “Never Gonna Give You Up.” KARAOKE GONE RIGHT?
A Rough Go

If you’ve ever been late to work, this one’s for you. Golfer Phil Mickelson cut it a little too close for his tee time in yesterday’s BMW Championship. Although he didn’t oversleep like you might think. His hotel was struck by lightning and caught on fire, forcing guests to evacuate. He couldn’t get back up to his room to get his golf clubs or clothes. He was forced to head to the course sans clubs but the two were eventually reunited. COMING IN HOT

Basketball legend Bill Walton gave calling the Chicago White Sox-Los Angeles Angels (MLB – Major League Baseball) game a shot this weekend and to say it was awkwardly glorious is an understatement. Walton is not shy about his love for the Grateful Dead, possibly an illegal (or legal depending on where you live) substance or his gift of gab. IT’S LIKE YOUR BOSS THAT NEVER STOPS TALKING BUT IN TIE DYE

The race at Bristol was a roller coaster for NASCAR (National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing) fans. First, there was Dale Earnhardt Jr’s plane scare and then the news that driver Matthew DiBenedetto was out of a job next year. DiBenedetto led the majority of the race on Saturday but lost the lead in the final laps. DiBenedetto’s fellow racers felt so bad for him that the race winner Denny Hamlin apologized for beating him. With less than a year until the Summer Olympics, Simone Biles made history this weekend as the first woman to ever land a triple twisting double somersault on floor exercise AND the first to land a double twisting double somersault off the balance beam. That helped her secure her sixth all-around U.S. Gymnastics Championships title. PUTTING THE WORLD ON NOTICE

Milwaukee Brewers (MLB - Major League Baseball) pitcher Adrian Houser is no stranger to the puke and rally but this season it worked out in his favor. Houser lost his lunch (and maybe his breakfast) on the mound during the game but then rallied to strike out 10 batters on his way to a Brewers win. VOMIT COMET
