The Perfect Combination

Sports and the weekend go together like peanut butter and jelly.

Get your jam on,

The Last Night’s Game Team

MLB (Major League Baseball)

Ask the experts. The Los Angeles Dodgers are down 0-2 to the Boston Red Sox as the best-of-seven World Series heads to Los Angeles. Forget asking the experts who is going to win, MLB.com asked some pint-sized “experts” who they predict will win. Keep in mind, the Dodgers haven’t won a World Series since 1988 when it’s likely these kids’ parents were born. KIDS SAY THE DARNDEST THINGS

Overtime

Last year’s fashion MVP Russell Westbrook of the Oklahoma City Thunder (NBA – National Basketball Association) is known for his fashion risks but his latest magazine cover may have gone a little too far. As the cover model for Homme Berlin, Westbrook dons questionable attire in front of a hilariously 80s backdrop that looks like something off of your Trapper Keeper. HOLIDAY CARD IDEAS

Sideline stat

The Olympics won’t be the same without her. Skier Lindsey Vonn announced that she will retire at the end of the 2018-19 season. She said it “physically doesn’t make sense anymore (to ski).” Her career is certainly nothing to be ashamed of with 82 World Cup wins, three Olympic medals and seven world championships. USA! USA!

Coaches’ corner

Mookie Betts of the Boston Red Sox is feeding America. In game one of the World Series, he stole a base triggering a Taco Bell promotion of free tacos for everyone. After his team’s game two win, with temps in Boston dipping down to freezing, someone spotted a late night good Samaritan handing out hot food trays to the homeless outside of the Boston Public Library. A cell phone photo identified Betts, who wasn’t doing it for the fanfare but to pay it forward. GOOD GUY ALERT

What to watch

There’s football (college or pro) on TV every day for the next 26 days. You’re welcome. SCHEDULE
