Strike A Pose. The 5 Things You Need To Know About The Heisman

You likely have no chance at winning the Heisman but here's the gift of gab instead.

You can still break out the pose on the dance floor,

THE FIVE THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE HEISMAN

1. The Heisman Trophy is the award given to the season’s best college football player. The finalists all play the position of quarterback and are Dwayne Haskins (Ohio State), Kyler Murray (Oklahoma) and Tua Tagovailoa (Alabama). All three of this year’s Heisman Trophy finalists play for teams whose primary uniform color is red. TWO WILL FEEL BLUE ON SATURDAY

2. Ohio State is in a three-way tie for the most Heisman winners by school. Their finalist, Haskins, dreamed of playing quarterback since he was a kid. WHEN DREAMS BECOME REALITY

3. With a Murray win, Oklahoma would become the only school to have different back-to-back Heisman winners from the same position. (Baker Mayfield won last year). Interesting about Murray is he’s not only one of the best football players in the country but he signed with the Oakland Athletics (MLB – Major League Baseball) in the spring. The A’s then granted Murray permission to play one last season (this season) with Oklahoma. He received a $4.6 million signing bonus from the A’s which meant he made more than his football coach at the time. A MAN OF MANY TALENTS

4. Bad news for Tua Tagovailoa. No Alabama quarterback has ever won the award. But if he does win, he’ll be the first from his school and the second Hawaiian to ever win the award. ALOHA HEISMAN

5. As if they didn’t work hard enough to get to the Heisman ceremony, the winner will have to hoist the bronze trophy weighing 45 pounds. They've carried the weight of their team, so this should be no problem. A BUFF BESTOWAL
