The Fighting Irish of Notre Dame were not able to defend their title and lost to Baylor in last night’s Women’s College Basketball National Championship. The Lady Bears claimed their school’s third national championship in women’s basketball. HOOP DREAMS
The Men’s College Basketball National Championship game is tonight and while it has taken a lot of sacrifices for Texas Tech to make it to its first national championship game, none are bigger than head coach Chris Beard giving up beer and candy. But don’t worry, he didn’t give up Pop Tarts. The students also sacrificed because Texas Tech cancelled school tonight and tomorrow in anticipation of the big game. A SELFLESS ACT
One year ago, Virginia became the first #1 seed team in history to lose to a #16 seed team, and tonight they will play Texas Tech for their first ever championship. (For the record, both teams will be playing for their school’s first national championship). BRACKET IS STILL BUSTED
The Orlando Magic (NBA – National Basketball Association) are making things happen. The team snapped the longest playoff drought in the Eastern Conference. For the first time in seven years, they’re headed to the postseason. RAISE THE ROOF
