College football is back with Week Zero! ESPN College GameDay is opening its season live from Ireland, where Florida State takes on Georgia Tech on Saturday at noon Eastern time. Meanwhile, Delaware State’s season started with a hiccup. After missing their original flight to Hawaii due to bus issues, the team scrambled to catch three separate flights to Honolulu. Kickoff against the University of Hawaii is at 6 PM local time on Saturday (midnight in Delaware). It’s a significant payday for the school, with Hawaii obligated to pay $180,000 for its participation.

The National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) returns from its Olympic break today with a historic new collective bargaining agreement (CBA). The NWSL is the first major sport in the US to eliminate the draft and guarantee every contract. Players will now have trade approval, an average starting salary of $135,000, access to charter flights and up to $20,000 for family planning. A massive win for women’s sports!

Little League World Series Finals This Weekend

The Little League World Series wraps up this weekend, with Chinese Taipei facing Venezuela and Texas battling Florida in the semifinals on Saturday. The winners will play for the title on Sunday at 3 PM. Don’t miss it!
