The Final Four teams in the NCAA College Basketball March Madness tournament are set. Both Auburn and Texas Tech are heading to their first Final Four in school history. San Diego is the home of the Padres (MLB – Major League Baseball) and of course, Ron Burgundy. The Padres paid tribute to the Channel 4 news team from the movie Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy in their new mascot race. Yes, the large headed versions of Ron Burgundy, Champ Kind, Brian Fantana and Brick Tamland raced around the track with Mr, Burgundy taking home the win in the inaugural race. Five Things To Know About The Global Phenomenon of Formula One (F1) Racing
1. Forget the sport, let’s start by talking about the view. The races take place in some of the most picturesque places in the world including the scenic streets of Monaco, the desert of Abu Dhabi and under the lights in Singapore (the only night race). Even if you don’t understand the racing, it’s worth it to watch for the postcard worthy scenery. The only race in America is in Austin, TX. The season starts this Sunday in Melbourne, Australia. 2. F1 has always been a global sport with a massive international following, but expect to see more about F1 in the states because U.S.A. based Liberty Media is now the main stakeholder, buying in at a mere $4.4 billion. There have been talks about expanding the races to other U.S. cities outside of Austin.
3. The cars are designed to be light and fast but there are weight restrictions to make sure every team is on a level playing field. Like going to the doctor’s office in the dead of winter where they weight you with all your clothes on, the car and the drivers, with all of their gear still on, are weighed in at the end of each race to ensure they meet said weight restrictions. The average driver loses 6.5 lbs during a race from dehydration. Do not try this before your at home weigh-in.
4. Last season’s winner and the sport’s most recognizable current driver, Lewis Hamilton, is known for his time behind the wheel, big diamond earrings, his famous ex-girlfriend Nicole Scherzinger (Pussycat Dolls) and his Instagram famous bulldogs, Roscoe and Coco, that are raking in the international followers.
5. Unlike your cell phone number, drivers choose their own numbers for their cars. The season’s winner has the right to race in the #1 car during their reign the following season.

When no one saw it coming. The Buffalo Bulls (No. 13) routed bracket favorite University of Arizona (No. 4) last night. It was a good old fashion beat down that even basketball fan, former President Obama didn’t predict in his bracket. That loss probably cleared some people out of your office pool. For that, this Buffalo player says "sorry, not sorry." RESULTS
If you’re “nun” the wiser. Loyola Chicago (No. 11) upset Miami (No. 6) in the first round yesterday but the biggest star of the game wasn’t anyone on the court. Loyola’s 98-year-old chaplain, Sister Jean, stole the spotlight with her excitement. She prays with the team before games and also sends them emails with positive messages, and sometimes constructive criticism, between games. Sister Jean is clearly the fan favorite.

The saying “don’t quit your day job” is around for a reason. Actor Susan Sarandon is a longtime New York Rangers fan (NHL - National Hockey League) and because of her celebrity status she was given the rare opportunity to be a guest commentator on TV for a game. It went over like a juice bar at a tailgate party. According to Twitter, fans everywhere turned off their TVs after Sarandon called one of the players “sexy.” Maybe she needs a little Last Night’s Game in her life?

Team U.S.A. continues to dominate in the Paralympics, leading the medal count. The Men's U.S. Paralympic Sled Hockey Team beat Italy 10-1 in the semifinals and will face Canada in the gold medal game on Sunday. The U.S. Team is seeking its third-straight Paralympic gold medal.
Coaches’ corner
Butler opens their March Madness tournament today against Arkansas but a key member of their team will be missing. Their team spirit and mascot, bulldog Butler Blue III aka Trip, will not be at the game because the NCAA (the governing body for college sports) does not allow live mascots in the arena for the opening round of the tournament due to space constraints. Trip may have had some FOMO when posting on social media but he continued to spread cheer outside the arena. You can’t keep a good (bull)dog down.
