Express yourself. Seattle Seahawks’ Earl Thomas has long expressed his displeasure with his contract with his team. Yesterday he reiterated where he stands. While being carted off the field with an injury, Thomas blatantly gave the Seahawks sideline the middle finger. DON’T TRY THIS AT WORK
OVERTIME
Even though they were favored, the U.S. Ryder Cup team once again failed to bring home a victory on European soil; a feat that hasn’t been accomplished since 1993. Golfer Phil Mickelson didn’t let the loss to Team Europe get him down. He was seen after hours breaking out his bar tricks by kicking a water bottle off his teammates head. THAT’S GOING TO HURT IN THE MORNING

As if a season with 162 games wasn’t long enough, there are two ties for division champions leading into the MLB (Major League Baseball) playoffs. The tiebreaker games between the Chicago Cubs and Milwaukee Brewers and the Los Angeles Dodgers and Colorado Rockies will be played today. The winner will claim the division title and the loser will play in a winner-takes-all game tomorrow for the wild card spot. (What’s the wildcard? Click here). IT ALL COMES DOWN TO THIS
COACHES’ CORNER
There was some controversy in this weekend’s Russian Grand Prix F1 (Formula One) race. Driver Valtteri Bottas had to put aside his pride when was ordered to let his Mercedes teammate Lewis Hamilton pass him so Hamilton could win the race and continue to build his overall points lead toward a season title. Hamilton was greeted after the race by Vladimir Putin. Putin posed for the cameras but he still holds a grudge against Hamilton who sprayed him with victory champagne after his last win at the Russian Grand Prix. THE TASTE OF VICTORY
More Coffee, Please
Time to catch up on the latest sports news while chugging that third (fourth? fifth?) cup of coffee.

Eye of the Tiger. This weekend, Tiger Woods won a PGA tournament for the first time in more than five years. Even though he did not win the overall FedExCup Championship (Justin Rose clinched that victory and the $10 million prize), this is a big comeback for 42-year-old Woods, who has undergone several back surgeries in the past few years. Performer. President. Pitcher. Kanye West keeps his career options open. The Grammy-winner made the ballpark his stage this weekend as he threw out the first pitch at the Chicago White Sox (MLB- Major League Baseball) game. West shared the pitcher’s mound with his son, Saint, who has quite an arm for a two-year-old. START ‘EM YOUNG

To say the odds were against the Buffalo Bills (NFL- National Football League) yesterday would be a massive understatement. The 17-point underdogs creamed the Minnesota Vikings, making it the biggest NFL upset in 23 years. (Want more? Check out our sports betting 101). DIDN’T SEE THAT COMING
COACHES’ CORNER
Is the NFL getting soft? Green Bay Packers player Clay Matthews certainly thinks so. The refs gave Matthews a penalty for being too rough while tackling the quarterback for the Washington Redskins. But many argue the tackle was routine and the league needs to lighten up. BEING SAFE OR BEING SISSIES?
Hello, Monday.

COLLEGE FOOTBALL
Don’t doubt the underdog. Three top college teams unexpectedly lost to their underdog opponents over the weekend. Arkansas, Northwestern and Wisconsin all paid their under qualified opponents at least $1 million to show up for the home game and an “easy” win— only to walk away with a big, fat loss. TALK ABOUT AN EXPENSIVE MISTAKE.
OVERTIME
After a big win against the Philadelphia Eagles (the defending Super Bowl champs), Tampa Bay Buccaneers (NFL- National Football League) quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick celebrated in style. He must have lost a bet because he showed up to the postgame press conference donning aviators, big gold chains and a substantial amount of chest hair. IF YOU’VE GOT IT, FLAUNT IT?

Someone had to raise the bar and set a new record. Buffalo Bills (NFL) Vontae Davis could be the first player ever to retire in the middle of the game. He played until halftime and then said "I shouldn't be out there anymore" and called it a career. On the flip side, Kenyan runner Eliud Kipchoge broke the world record for a marathon, finishing in two hours, one minute and 39 seconds. DANG, THAT’S FAST.
COACHES’ CORNER
Think back to what were you doing 18 years ago. That's when professional golfer Angela Stanford started her career. After 18 years, she finally won her first major tournament this weekend. Stanford says her win was inspired by her mother, who is battling a second round of breast cancer. PLEASE PASS THE TISSUES.
