Over the weekend, Novak Djokovic (#1) earned his record seventh Australian Open title, beating Rafael Nadal. In the women’s championship, Naomi Osaka (#1) won her first Australian Open. You might remember Osaka upset Serena Williams to win last year’s U.S. Open. IF YOU’RE NOT FIRST, YOU’RE LAST

Actor Chris Pratt has long been an MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) fan. This weekend, he was in the corner for a real hero on his first fight. Adel Altamimi, a Baghdad, Iraq native, drove convoys for the U.S. Marines during which he was captured and held hostage by Al-Qaeda. He was later rescued by the Marines. Altamimi and Pratt trained together in Los Angeles and he won his debut fight, all with Pratt in his corner. SEMPER FI

He told the media that there is zero percent chance he’ll retire after the game. HOLD THE MEDICARE

Proving they were the best, the Metropolitan team beat out the other three teams in the NHL (National Hockey League) All-Star tournament, winning the $1 million prize. But the real winner of the all-star weekend was women’s hockey. U.S. women's national team star, Kendall Coyne Schofield, became the first woman to compete in the NHL All-Star skills competition. She placed eighth in the fastest skate challenge. LIGHTNING FAST

Former Dallas Cowboys player (NFL – National Football League) and current broadcaster Jason Witten had the honor of handing over the championship trophy to the AFC (American Football Conference) team for winning the Pro Bowl (the NFL’s All-Star Game). The only problem is that it broke in half when he handed it over. YOU HAD ONE JOB

The New Orleans Saints left a lasting impression on television viewers and not because of their play on the field. They can thank the deafening whistle of Saints’ super fan the “Whistle Monsta” for piercing the ears of America during the broadcast. Whistle Monsta is a staple at Saints games but even his decibel level couldn’t help his team take home a win. ATTACKING YOUR EARDRUMS

COACHES’ CORNER
The Rams win wasn’t without controversy. After the game, the NFL admitted to the Saints head coach that they screwed up and the ref should've called pass interference on a key play, but too little too late. The botched call may have cost the Saints the game. BETTER THAN BEING ON THE SHOW BOTCHED

Kansas City Chiefs (NFL) guard Jeff Allen had a bit of a problem on Saturday, the morning of his big playoff game. It had snowed and his car was stuck. A good Samaritan, who had no idea who Allen was, helped him with his car but Allen only knew him as Dave – he had no contact information for his savior. Using Twitter, Allen was able to locate the fan, who is homeless, and gift him tickets to next weekend’s semifinal playoff game as a token of his appreciation. GRATEFUL GUARD

The sports world is buzzing that college football's Heisman Trophy winner Kyler Murray may declare for the NFL draft today. The only problem is that Murray already signed a contract to play professional baseball for the Oakland Athletics (MLB - Major League Baseball). If Murray declares for the draft today, it will void his contract with the A’s. The team is worried he might jump ship, so they have allegedly offered him the $15 million in additional money that Murray is seeking to stay with the team and not play football. WILL HE STAY OR WILL HE GO?

It turns out rapper Snoop Dogg may have chosen the wrong career.
