No Introduction Needed
History is made by a woman in the NBA, a freezing pantless wonder and a touchdown dance you have to see.
While you might be bummed that it’s Monday, it is the last full week before the Thanksgiving break.
Always a silver lining,
The Last Night’s Game Team
NBA (National Basketball Association)
History was made this weekend for women in the NBA (National Basketball Association). San Antonio Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich was ejected from the game and his top assistant Becky Hammond took the reins. She coached the rest of the game via committee with her two fellow assistant coaches. Regardless, she still made history as the first woman to be a head coach of an NBA team. HISTORY MADE

One Winnipeg Blue Bombers fan (CFL - Canadian Football League) has vowed that he won’t wear pants until his team wins the Grey Cup (the CFL Championship). Because of that he has been baring it all during the Canadian winters for nearly two decades. Luckily for him, his team is playing in the finals. PANTLESS WONDER

In an exciting race, Kyle Busch captured his second NASCAR (National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing) championship yesterday. He was able to cap off the victory by receiving approval from the NASCAR higher ups to take his 4-year-old son along with him for a victory lap. PROUD OF PAPA

Colin Kaepernick hasn't played since January 2017 and was supposed to have his NFL-organized workout for 20+ pro teams yesterday, until he didn’t. Shortly before the workout was scheduled to begin, with many teams already in place, Kaepernick moved the workout to a facility nearly an hour away. Therefore only seven teams made their way over to the new location to catch his workout. While his arm still looked good, some are predicting that this switcharoo may have cost him a job. Who doesn’t love a creative touchdown down? Yesterday, a lineman for the Indianapolis Colts celebrated with a mock “keg stand.” Unfortunately, the touchdown was overturned but the moves won’t soon be forgotten. PRE-PARTY
We Salute You
A Veterans Day surprise, in-flight snacks gone seriously wrong and wins that matter.
Today on Veterans Day we thank the brave members of our armed forces and their families who have sacrificed so much for our freedom.
Gratefully,

College Football
The college football game that had everyone watching between LSU (#2 last week – now #1) and Alabama (#3 – now #4) lived up to the hype. The two teams battled it out but LSU took home the victory. An Alabama player is blaming President Trump, who attended the game, for their loss. On the other side, LSU’s head coach, Ed Orgeron – who is known for his raspy voice and thick Cajun accent - led a hilarious expletive filled celebration of the biggest win of the year in the Tigers’ locker room. IT’S A WIN IN ANY LANGUAGE
Also, the Minnesota Golden Gophers (#17 - now #6) shocked the college football world by taking out Penn State (#4 - now #9) this weekend. The Gophers are now 9-0. But the best part of their win is the gopher GIFs that took over Twitter afterward. CADDYSHACK CALLING

In the spirit of Veterans Day, Pittsburgh Penguins (NHL – National Hockey League) Sidney Crosby did something extra special for Army Specialist and single mom Madeline Malizio. He took away the burden of bus rides to work and school and gave her a new car. He won the car as the NHL All-Star Game MVP and wanted to pay it forward. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE

Last week we talked about Sabrina Ionescu from the Oregon Ducks being the best in college basketball. Well this weekend she proved it. Her college team beat Team U.S.A, which is made up of WNBA (Women’s National Basketball Association) players, in an exhibition game. They’re only the second college team ever to beat the national team. SIMPLY THE BEST

The Seattle Sounders beat Toronto FC to win their second MLS (Major League Soccer) Championship. The cherry on top was that they won in their home city in front of their fans. VICTORY IS SWEET

Dion Waiters of the Miami Heat (NBA - National Basketball Association) is grounded after eating a THC-infused edible on the team plane that lead to a panic attack. He has been suspended for 10 games by the team for the in-flight snack incident. Waiters is serving his second suspension of the season, which started a month ago, and has yet to play in a game. The higher ups at Florida State were so unhappy with the team’s start to the season that they gave head coach Willie Taggart the boot, halfway through the season. Luckily, he has a $20 million buyout to soften the blow. DON’T LET THE DOOR HIT YOU ON THE WAY OUT

We bet you didn’t know about the super healing powers that a Popeyes spicy chicken sandwich holds? Houston Texans (NFL) quarterback Deshaun Watson credits the cult sandwich for healing his injury that he received after being kicked in the eye. BEHOLD THE POWER OF FRIED CHICKEN

Sports are the highest highs and the lowest lows. Congratulations are in order for Lewis Hamilton. The F1 (Formula One) driver won his sixth championship yesterday at the Circuit of Americas race in Austin, TX. He’s one championship away from the record. And the New England Patriots (NFL – National Football League) are going to need a big hug this morning. They were undefeated so far this season, until they lost to the Baltimore Ravens last night. The San Francisco 49ers are the only undefeated team left in football. BETTER LUCK NEXT TIME

NFL Hall of Fame receiver turned broadcaster, Randy Moss, had quite the travel mix-up that almost caused him to miss his weekly Sunday football show on ESPN. He took a later flight to Bristol, Conn., home of ESPN, so he could catch his son’s game. He dozed off once the pilot told him the flight time and ended up in Bristol, TN…703 miles away from his intended destination. Thanks to the powers of private jets, he made it on time. The Washington Nationals (MLB – Major League Baseball) had an epic World Series championship parade on Saturday and no one had more fun than shirtless Nats infielder, Brian Dozier. We’ll see if he recovers in time to make it to the White House today. LIVING HIS BEST LIFE
